Making Korean Popular Snack (Gimbap)
Gimbap is a very popular Korean snack, which can also be eaten as a meal especially on picnics or outings.
It is made by rolling sticky rice on a
piece of laver, with strips of crab meat, fish cakes, fried eggs, spinach,
carrots, cucumber and radish along the center, and then cut into bite sizes. In
recent days, new types of gimbap have been introduced with kimchi, tuna, cheese
and many other flavors.
Cooking Ingredients (For 4 persons)
* Boiled Rice (4 Bowls)
* 9 Pieces of Laver* 5 Eggs
* 1 Ham * 2 Carrots* 2 Cucumbers
* 3 Tuna Cans
* 6 Slices of sweet Yellow Radish
* Some Leaves of Sesame
Cooking Ingredients (For 4 persons)
* 5 eggs
Add 1/2 tablespoon salt and mix well.
* 1 Ham
Stirring the sliced ham with cooking oil in a frying pan.
Preparing the sliced cucumbers and the fried and sliced carrots.
Preparing the sliced Sweet Yellow Radish
and the leaves of Sesame.
Preparing the tuna mixed with black pepper and mayonnaise.
Preparing the boiled rice being mixed with
a little salt and sesame oil.
Spreading evenly the boiled rice on the sheet of laver.
Putting 2 leaves of sesame on the boiled
rice.
Putting tuna on the sesame leaves, and then wrapping it with sesame leaves.
And then, putting the prepared Food
Ingredients step
by step on the boiled rice.
Wrapping all food ingredients tightly with laver to be careful not to burst.
Pasting the boiled rice at the end of laver not to be separated laver and laver.
Kimbab is finally completed.
Now, cutting it with a knife with
bite-sized enough to eat.
Pasting sesame oil on Kimbap and the blade of Knife for slicing
smoothly.
Cutting gimbap nicely and put it on a
pretty plate.
Then sprinkling some sesame on top of
gimbap.
